Bruised, but alive

The last entry was made from the Valhalla Party that we arranged during Viking Week, and already 4 days have passed.

Yes, I agree, the entry itself was a bit cryptic, but it made perfect sense at the time. It's a photo of a hall full of Viking-helmet-clad INSEADers. Slightly blurred, I admit, so you'll have to trust me.

So, what went down during Viking Week? To give you an idea, here's the program...

  • Monday
    • Amphi Storming
    • IKEA Competition
    • Movie night
  • Tuesday
    • Smorgasbord Breakfast
    • Winter Olympics
    • Movie night
  • Wednesday
    • Dress up as viking day
    • Company Presentations
    • Valhalla Party
    • Movie night
  • Thursday
    • Nordic Design Evening
    • Movie night
As you can see, fairly hectic schedule. Add to it the fact that we had two case submissions due on Monday and two on Wednesay, and, well...

In the end we actually postponed the Design Evening until this week. Mainly to give everyone time to breathe, but partly because the Swedish Business Association Singapore, together with the Swedish Embassy and STYLE:NORDIC have an identical event this week.

The Swedish Embassy, by the way, have been brilliant in helping out with decorations and information, loads of thanks to all of them!

So, why the title of this posting, you might ask? Well, true to my usual good luck, I didn't get through the week without a few bruises. I managed to sprain (or maybe break?) one of my toes during the violent amphi-storming on Monday. At the Valhalla Party I managed to bruise a rib during some of the heavier stage-diving sessions.

And, of course, my laptop broke down early Thursday morning, possibly in protest over having been used to play one ABBA song too many at the party.

But, hey, despite all of this, it was a great week!

In case you don't believe me, check out the review at Brutal Facts. One small comment though - 30 EURO price for the party is incorrect - it was 30 SGD....

Yeah, thanks to our great sponsors, we gave away food, drink and viking helmets for way less than half price.
